mixed-media work
Click on photos for larger image and more information. Much of my work involves the use of mixed-media. In my series "Bad Cat Trilogy" and "Formations: Another View," I used various fabrics and objects to devise allegorical frames to expand the story of each painting. "Hideaway" employs a wooden structure behind the canvas to give true dimension to the scene. The "Horseradish" is made of plastic horse models tied together with twine and string, and my "Sculpture/Drawings" use objects and cloth to bring a 3rd dimension to these large works. Also, most of my site specific work and paper work involves the use of mixed-media. |
